Role: Chromebook configuration, policy setup, automation, dashboard creation, testing, troubleshooting, and teacher support.
Outcome: Chromebook workflows became classroom-ready, and Google Classroom setup time reduced by approximately 60%.
The school network introduced Chromebooks as part of a broader technology-enabled learning pilot. The aim was to provide teachers and learners with a manageable digital learning environment for classroom activities, collaboration, feedback, assignments, and access to Google Workspace tools.
Because the rollout involved shared devices, Chromebooks had to be secure, easy to manage, and ready for repeated classroom use. Google Classroom structures, login policies, restrictions, and teacher workflows had to be aligned before deployment.
The Chromebook rollout had four major challenges: Deploying MDM solution for Chromebooks, managing shared-device login and safety risks, supporting teachers with Classroom routines, and reducing repetitive manual setup work.
Devices needed login restrictions, Wi-Fi policies, browsing controls, and account access rules.
Devices management needed by both IT teams (profiles, restrictions) and teachers (In-class locking and content sharing)
Teachers needed structured routines for assignments, resources, submissions, and feedback.
Classroom setup, tracking, and monitoring needed automation to support scale.
I supported the rollout by configuring device policies, creating Mobile Guardian profiles, designing workflow systems, and enabling teachers to use Google tools effectively.
Enrolled the devices, configured login restrictions, Wi-Fi settings, account access rules, and device-level controls.
Created classroom-level restrictions, profiles, webfilters and additional device controls for safer shared-device use.
Used Google Sheets and Apps Script to reduce manual setup work, with dashboards for monitoring usage and support needs.
Supported teachers in using Google Classroom for assignments, resources, communication, and student submissions.
Trained teachers on Chromebook workflows, Google Classroom, Workspace tools, responsible device use, and classroom routines.
| Challenge | Response |
|---|---|
| Shared-device login risk | Applied Google Admin restrictions and Mobile Guardian controls. |
| Manual Google Classroom setup | Built automation to reduce setup time and improve consistency. |
| Teacher unfamiliarity with Google workflows | Provided training, support, and classroom workflow coaching. |
| Device misuse risk | Applied browsing, account, access, and device-level restrictions. |
| Limited implementation visibility | Created trackers and Looker Studio dashboards. |
| Recurring support requests | Developed SOPs, teacher guides, and troubleshooting routines. |

This project showed me that Chromebook deployment succeeds when device control and teacher workflow are designed together. Secure devices alone do not improve learning; teachers need clear routines, structured classroom spaces, and reliable access.
The biggest learning was that automation is not just a technical convenience. In a multi-school rollout, automation reduces repetitive work, improves consistency, and allows teams to focus on teacher support and classroom adoption.
